Senior Thanksgiving - posted 10/26
Senior Thanksgiving is being held on Thursday, December 3 in the AUX gym.  In order to practice social distancing, seniors will make a reservation for either the 11am time slot or the 1pm time slot.  Once a reservation has been made, you will not be able to change your time so check with your friends and pick a time that you will all sign up for.  Have your parent pay for you to attend on PowerSchool under fees. You can begin reserving your time starting at 8am on Saturday, October 31 and reservations will stop on Friday, November 13 at midnight.  Don’t miss out on this fun senior tradition! Flyer

Senior Planning Day - posted 10/14
Senior Planning Day is a tradition at OOHS.  It falls on the same day the PSAT is offered to Juniors and Sophomores.  This year that day will be on October 29th.  Senior Planning Day encourages Seniors to use this "day off" in a constructive way to plan for their future.
Here are some suggestions for our Seniors:

  1. Schedule a college or trade school visit.  This can be done in person or virtually through the college or trade school website.  Some virtual tours have been posted on Naviance.
  2. Schedule a shadow day.  Shadowing allows seniors to obtain first hand knowledge about a career of interest.
  3. College Application Essay Assistance - The English teachers who teach the senior level courses will be available in the library from 7:20am - 11:00am on Thursday, October 29.

Seniors are still responsible for any work assigned to them by their teachers on this virtual day of learning.

Notice for all Senior Students (in-person or distance learners) enrolled in OLSD whether CDL, DACC, CCP, OASIS or Electronic school.
Ohio law mandates that all students have two doses of meningococcal immunization prior to entering 12th grade, unless otherwise exempt. If the first dose was given on or after the student’s 16th birthday, the second dose is not required for their senior year. Menactra, Menveo and MCV4 are vaccines that meet the requirement. Students who have not received these immunizations yet can go to The Delaware General Health District (www.delawarehealth.org or 740-203- 2040), their physician’s office, or any urgent care center. If you have not already done so, records must be turned in to the school clinic by October 13, 2020. If records are not received by this date, your student will be excluded from school (in-person and distance learners) beginning October 15, 2020 until compliance is reached.
