Meet the Director

Lori Cornett joined Olentangy Schools in 2003. She began working at Orange Middle School in 2004 where she served as the director for twelve years. She is currently the orchestra director at Olentangy Orange High School. While employed with the district she has also taught general music and strings classes at Walnut Creek, Indian Springs, Johnnycake Corners, Oak Creek, and Glen Oak Elementary Schools.

She holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction (2010) and a Bachelors in Music Education (2003) from Otterbein University. She is also a member of the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA). Lori serves as the advisor of Tri-M (a music honor society) at Orange High School and is the freshman class cabinet advisor.

Lori founded the Olentangy Summer Strings Camp in its current format in 2003. Since that time she has seen the camp through a number of changes and a great deal of growth. She is passionate about program development and integrating technology into the curriculum to enhance student growth.

Lori lives in Delaware Ohio with her husband Phil and her two children. In her free time she enjoys participating in various ministries at her church, cooking, working at California Pizza Kitchen, and spending time with her family.
